With the Shimano XT CS-M771-10 cassette, the six large sprockets are mounted on two spiders so that a large contact surface and a low weight can be achieved. Hyperglide technology (HG) ensures fast, smooth and silent gear changes, which are further supported by the Dyna-Sys system. Shimano Hyperglide cassettes (HG cassettes) have strategically-positioned ramps and special tooth profiles so that the chain can be completely guided directly onto the next sprocket. This prevents the chain from just touching the tips of the teeth before it actually touches down. This optimises the chain guide and enables fast, highly efficient shifting.

Dyna-Sys
Dyna-Sys is the name of the 10-speed shifting system for MTBs from Shimano. It works with closer gear ratios that enable smooth and efficient shifting. Optimised gear combinations maximise propulsion and extend the life of the cassette, chain and chainring.
